The Importance of Individualized Personal Training Programs

Currently, big group classes are “in.” From Crossfit gyms to Orange Theory, and online plans that promise results, there are so many different types of workouts you could follow.

But those classes don’t take the individual into account. Sure, you could scale a workout to your current fitness level; but can you modify that same workout to help you achieve a specific goal? Avoid an old injury?

And while competition may be fun and inspiring, group classes often inspire a type of competitiveness that may lead to injury. Not to mention constant comparisons to other athletes in the gym.

I believe wholeheartedly in an individualized approach. Every client is different. Different goals, different needs, different nutritional considerations, different lifestyles. I work one-on-one with my clients to understand who they are, as an athlete, and the full person. Open, honest communication leads to accountability along the journey. We can also easily modify the plan; life may throw things your way, but if you have the drive to achieve, we will work together to find the path.
